Copies of all registration certificates issued, by the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (GDARD), in terms of Regulation 27 of the National Environmental Management: Biodiversity Act (10/2004): Threatened or Protected Species Regulations, 2007 (TOPS Regs), any permits issued in terms of the TOPS Regs and all current management plans prepared in terms of the National Norms and Standards for the Management of Elephants in South Africa, 2008, issued in terms of section 9 of the National Environmental Management: Biodiversity Act, 2004 for the following captive elephant facilities:

1. Johannesburg Zoo.
2. Askari Lodge, Plumari Africa Game Reserve, Magaliesberg.

Centre for Environmental Rights requests copies of CITES permits issued by the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Copies of all permits (including permits for possession, breeding, translocation, or hunting) issued in relation to African wild dog, cheetah, leopard, spotted hyena, black-footed cat, brown hyena, serval, bat-eared fox, cape fox, pangolin, giant girdled lizard (sungazer) and lion, in respect of the following facilities:

• Dewildt Cheetah Centre (located in Hartebeespoort, Guateng)
• Lion Park (located on Malibongwe Drive, Randburg, Gauteng)
• Farm Inn Wildlife Sanctuary (located in de Wilgers, Guateng)

A request for records relating to the handback of the Cradle of Humankind Interpretation Centre Complex Public-Private Partnership project to the Department from Furneaux Stewart Gapp consortium

Any and all records relating to the handback of the Cradle of Humankind Interpretation Centre Complex Public-Private Partnership project to the Department from Furneaux Stewart Gapp consortium including but not limited to:

1. A copy of the signed PPP agreement relating to the handback procedure;
2. The survey conducted on the examination of the Project Assets and any report arising out of the survey;
3. The schedule on items requiring remediation;
4. any documents, internal memos, policies regarding the process and cost of remediation;
5. Alternatively to the above the re tendering documents should the project require it.

Copies of ArcelorMittal SA (AMSA)'s compliance reports, pre-compliance notice and all other correspondences between AMSA and GDARD.

1. ArcelorMittal SA (AMSA)’s compliance reports submitted in terms of its atmospheric emission licence for 2012 and 2013

2. the pre-compliance notice issued by GDARD on or about 13 July 2012 to AMSA in relation to its Vanderbijlpark Works;

3. all representations, objections and appeals made by AMSA in response to the pre-compliance notice described in 2, as well as to the compliance notice issued by GDARD to AMSA on or about September 2012;

4. all other correspondence between AMSA and GDARD regarding the pre-compliance notice described in 2, and the compliance notice described in 3, as well as the outcome of any appeal process launched by AMSA in relation to the compliance notice;

5. all records regarding the withdrawal of the compliance notice described in 3;

6. the report compiled by GDARD in relation to the compliance inspection which prompted it to issue the pre-compliance and compliance notices (described in 2 and 3, respectively);

7. all follow-up inspection reports of subsequent inspections conducted by GDARD at AMSA’s Vanderbijlpark Works;

8. all other enforcement notices and pre-notices issued by GDARD in relation to AMSA’s Vanderbijlpark Works;

9. all representations, objections and appeals made by AMSA in response to the inspection reports described in 6 and 7 above and the notices described in 8 above; and

10. records reflecting the outcome of any appeal processes described in 9 above.

1. Any Environmental Authorsations issued in terms of the National Environmental Management Act 107 of 1998 in respect of the listed and/or specific activities at DRD Gold Limited’s Crown Operation.
